Day #2

After Mark's surgery, I have my sleeping schedule all mixed up. I want to sleep in all the time and stay up all night. What's funny is that I woke up at 5:30 this morning thinking about what I was going to tell all of you. Mark will get a kick out of that because it takes an army to get me up and going in the morning. So, what to tell you today..... I have been working for weeks on my scrapbook studio. I call it that because it sounds more creative than "cleaning the basement". I have sorted scrapbook supplies and can I say "I don't need to buy anymore for at least 3 years!!!" Of course that won't happen but I can say it, right?! Anyway, I have enough "crap" to share with all my friends and will if they post a comment. How's that for a bribe. Seriously, I have more stuff than most small scrapbook stores. I have sorted embellishments into categories and paper into patterned and solids and subcategorized them by color. All my adhesives are in drawers and sorted by wet vs. dry as well as by manufacturer. Flowers have been dumped out of their cute glass jars and into plastic jars and so have the buttons. Ribbon is off the roll and into color-coded jars too. I have sorted brads by color... I don't think I will use all of these in my lifetime or my grandsons' either. I have sorted, re-sorted and sorted some more. All I really want to do is scrapbook!!! I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't scrap at home until my "studio" was done but.... it may never be done. I also see that Mark has posted on his calendar that the 20th of February is when I said I would be done with the basement. Now, a month ago when I said that I would be finished down there, it seemed like a plausible plan... but I think now, it was just a dream!!! Granted, you can walk and he says I am making progress, but finished in just 10 days...I don't know. I get my mojo going and it's gone before I get out of bed. So, I have rambled on long enough. I will post a photo or two of the progress later... until then ...
